Supplier FAQs

What is Tasting Trails and how does it work for suppliers?

Tasting Trails is a fully digital, self-guided “tasting” product that bundles curated participating producer experiences, credits and multimedia storytelling into a single mobile pass. Visitors purchase a Tasting Trail, download the Smartvisit App to download their pass and make use of dynamic maps and directory along with a self-guided multimedia tour. By using the pass visitors can start exploring a region through produce by redeeming tastings or credit at your venue. As a supplier you will be highlighted on the Tasting Trails website and App including the dynamic map.

What are the benefits of joining the program?
  • Zero upfront cost: There’s no fee to onboard. Tasting Trails will pay you for tastings.
  • Marketing exposure: Professionally produced videos, interviews and featured listings across our app, website and partner channels.
  • New revenue streams: Payment for supplied tastings and redeemed credit, plus incremental upsells when guests visit.
  • Customer data: Access to names, emails, postcodes and redemption details (consent-based) for repeat marketing.
What do I need to provide as a supplier?
  • A tasting experience to impress: The value of the tasting will be offset by Tasting Trails.
  • Redemption of Credit: You need to allow a certain amount to be redeemed per pass by the visitor, redeemable on goods you produce. You’re reimbursed at a discounted net rate.

These incentives enhance the visitor experience and drive on-site spend.

How do I redeem benefits when a guest visits?
  • Download and log into the Smartvisit Merchant App using your Merchant Number, username and password.
  • Scan the visitor’s pass QR code.
How do I report and get paid?

After redemptions:

  • Log into the Smartvisit Merchant Portal (www.sorse.com) to download transaction reports and generate an Activity Statement.
  • Submit your invoice against that statement; payments are processed monthly.
What customer data will I receive?

You’ll receive the contact details (name, email, postcode, country) and redemption history for guests who visited your venue, enabling direct follow-up and targeted promotions (subject to consent).

Can I customize how my listing appears?

Yes. You can provide your own descriptions and imagery to best showcase your produce and venue.

How long are passes valid?

Each pass is valid for 12 months from purchase, encouraging visitors to return if they haven’t fully used their benefits.

What support is available if I run into any issues?

Our team is here to help—whether it’s onboarding, app questions or invoicing.
